There are two main ways to reach your island hideaway vacation at Hilltop House in Culebra:
Because of the mountain approach and relatively short runway, Culebra'sBenjamín Rivera Noriega Airport (CPX) is rated for use by propeller aircraft of ten seats or less (no jets). Baggage weight and size matter for most propeller aircraft to Culebra; please check with your preferred carrier for restrictions. For liability reasons we cannot vouch for any particular airline, days, or number and time of flights per day.
Connects to: San Juan, Ceiba [and indirectly to Vieques]
*By the Fajardo-Culebra Ferry*
Air travel not your thing? There is also a ferry option (about 2 hours one-way from Fajardo on the east side of the Big Island), costing about $2.25 one-way and $4.50 round-trip for passengers, plus additional variable rates depending on the size of your vehicle. Tickets are available for online purchase at www.culebraferry.com.
The ferry usually runs about three times per day, but may be cancelled without notice and is subject to first-come, first-serve availability. A schedule is available at this site and also this site, but those third party sites may not contain the most recent information.

Unless you are a hard core biker with a serious backpack, you will likely want a motor vehicle to reach Hilltop from the airport, get from Hilltop to the beaches, go to town to eat, and pick up drinks and groceries that you can cart back up the fairly steep driveway to Hilltop. Fortunately, you have options: Culebra has plenty of rental agencies that offer Jeeps, golf carts...and yes, scooters and human-powered bikes. Most of these businesses take credit cards; many also take reservations.
